Metal and papier-mâché

Producing work with metal inserts – silver and/or gold – has been a challenge since I started out in this art and will always be so.

The first phase is the sketch of my idea or an idea commissioned me.

Then every passage must necessarily be planned in a full blown executive project.

I make the papier-mâché in the form and paper suited to the idea. Then I move to the laboratory to prepare the metal element which I work by hand using the tools of the trade: sheet metal, die plate, solder… until I have everything I need.

Lastly I take up the papier-mâché again, join it to the metal and thus obtain each one-of-a-kind creation.
